GETTING AROUND CAMBODIA BY PLANE

Cambodia has 3 commercial airports.

The three international airports are Phnom Penh Techo Airport serving the capital Phnom Penh, Siem Reap - Angkor Airport serving the city of Siem Reap and Angkor Archaeological Park, and Sihanoukville Airport serving Sihanoukville and the Southern Coast.

There are two domestic carriers operating in Cambodia, two full-service carriers: Cambodia Angkor Air and Cambodia Airways.

GETTING AROUND CAMBODIA BY TRAIN

Cambodia has 612 kilometres of metre gauge railway tracks. Phnom Penh Railway Station is the main terminus of all routes: the Northern Line and the Southern Line.

In the present, trains transiting the Cambodian railway network are pulled by diesel locomotives circulating at a top speed of 60 km/h.

The major railway stations are Phnom Penh Station, Pursat Station and Battambang Station in the Northwest, and Takeo Station, Krong Kep Station, Kampot Station and Sihanoukville Station in the South.

The railway network in Cambodia is managed by Royal Railway, the company that outsources the railway operations under a exclusive concession from the government.

GETTING AROUND CAMBODIA BY BUS

Travelling by bus in Cambodia is an affordable way to reach the popular tourist destinations out of the railway network or inaccessible by plane.

Seated buses and sleeper buses generally cover long distances during daytime or overnight and connect two or more cities in different provinces.

Minivans generally cover short distances during daytime and connect cities in the same province or neighbor provinces.

The major bus stations are located in Siem Reap, Preah Vihear, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pursat in the Northwest, Koh Kong, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Kep in the Southern Coast, Phnom Penh and Kampong Cham in the Central Plains, and Kratie, Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri in the East.

Road transportation in Cambodia is carried out by three types of vehicles: seated buses, sleeper buses and minivans.

The bus companies Giant Ibis, Larryta, Vireak Buntham, VET Air Bus Express, Saly VIP and Asia Van Transfer operate modern fleets of vehicles equipped with air-conditioning, seats or berths, and on-board amenities.
